You Should Know

Did you know that the original meaning of the word ‘COMPASSION‘ means ‘co-suffer‘ with one another.
The word originated from the latin word ‘COMPATI‘ which means ‘suffer with’.

It later became ‘COMPASSIO‘ in old French and Middle English became ‘Compassion’.
“Compassion is the response to the suffering of others that motivates a desire to help.

It makes us go out of our way to be of help to someone in spite of what we may be going through.
There are two words that are usually mistaken for each other, PITY and COMPASSION.

While pity is response without action to help the person suffering, compassion goes steps ahead over pity and ACT.
We can say COMPASSION is PITY IN ACTION.

Compassion is Pity with a hand.

So choose COMPASSION in all thy choosing.
