The Demystify Abuse Campaign Journey So Far

today is 16th of June, 2017.
 
And today marks seven (7) months after the armed robbery attack that almost crumbled the foundations of my life.
 
Today marks it seven months since I was left with two options of –
 
-either letting the FEAR OF STIGMATIZATION push me to being SILENT about MY RAPE EXPERIENCE or
 
– SPEAKING UP on the EXPERIENCE and LENDING MY VOICE and my story to speak against RAPE and SEXUAL ABUSE and the need to reassure other victims that THERE IS LIFE AFTER RAPE/SEXUAL ABUSE.

I Vow

While seated in the cab and reflecting on a whole lot; the degrees, the clothes, the books, the rape, the friends, the family, the sneakers, the notepads, the passwords written down and presently hidden from the unprying eyes of the world. I scrolled through my photo gallery and my music box, I went through my documents,e books, e things….i did not know when cold(rising tone)cold(falling tone) washed all over me.
